Range: Eastern Panama through Columbia, Ecuador, and Brazil; Found in forests and swamps

Diet: Seeds, nuts, fruit, and berries

Life span: Up to 80 years

Size: Length: 41-45”; weight: 2-2.7 lbs

Fun facts: Macaws often mate for life. They are often seen flying in large flocks and the pairs fly close together, their wings nearly touching. In the wild, Macaws often flock to mountain of clay known as “macaw licks.”
