Trevor has enjoyed our winter this year because it really has not been too cold. Normally he would be sleeping a lot in the cold temperatures and only venture out on the days it warmed up. But these days he has not felt very sleepy. Raccoons do not hibernate but generally nap a lot during the winter. They are more nocturnal than diurnal and can be seen just about anywhere where food can be found. Our two raccoons Trevor and Dalek came to us from a rehabilitator who rescued them and could not be released into the wild. They enjoy visits from you and love to get zoo crackers for treats.
