Scientific Name: Neovision Vision
Range: Northern North America
Habitat: Mink are incredibly territorial and will use their scat to mark the boundaries of their home. They always are within 30 feet of some body of water.
Diet: Birds, fish, and other small mammals are all a part of their diet.
Life Span: 10-12 years
Family Life: Females have one liter per year, each with 4-6 kits. They mature by the end of autumn and move on to create their own territories.
Status in the Wild: Least concern
Nature Notes: Domestic minks are larger than those in the wild. For that reason, when minks escape from fur farms it is important that they are not allowed to live in the wild as they will not thrive and can threaten the native mink in that area
