The Zoo is open weekends only. We will open daily after mother's day.

Know Before You Go:

  • The Zoo's ticket booth accepts cash, credit, debit, ApplePay, Google Pay and Cash App.
  • Our gift shop does not accept cash at this time, but can accept credit/debit, ApplePay, Google Pay and Cash App.
  • The last admission of the day is sold at 3:30 p.m.
  • Parking is managed by the City of Springfield and not included in Zoo admission. Parking is $3/in-state and $5/out-of-state, cash only.

The Zoo is closed to the general public on the first Saturday of August for Brew at The Zoo.

PARKING INFO

The Zoo in Forest Park & Education Center is an independent non-profit located inside of a city park. The City of Springfield charges a daily parking fee of $3 per in-state and $5 per out-of-state passenger car CASH ONLY. All buses and larger vehicles are charged $15 per vehicle. These prices are subject to change and the money is not managed or collected by The Zoo.
