Can I pack a lunch to eat at the zoo with our kids?

No outside food is permitted to feed to the animals. Be aware that there are no tables or facilities for eating at the Zoo but groups and individuals can picnic outside of the Zoo in the surrounding park. Tables are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Are visitors allowed to walk a dog on a leash through the zoo?

Only licensed guide or service animals permitted inside the Zoo. No other animal of any kind is permitted.

Are there any rules about the Zoo I should know prior to my visit?

There are a few rules you should know about when visiting the Zoo:

  • Balls, bicycles, roller blades, skate boards etc. are not allowed at the Zoo
  • No radios or loud music of any kind allowed while visiting
  • Running is not allowed 
  • No smoking on Zoo grounds
