If so, the Counselor-in-Training Program is for you!

The Zoo in Forest Park & Education Center is currently accepting applications for the first annual Counselor-in-Training Program. Counselors-in-Training (CIT) will assist with all aspects of the Zoo Camp program, including: activity implementation, camper supervision, animal care and more. 

(includes staff t-shirt, Forest Park parking pass and medication administration training)

Minimum requirements:
- At least 16 years old
- Must be available for 6 out of 9 weeks of Zoo Camp, as early as 8 a.m. to as late as 5 p.m. daily (Zoo Camp runs daily, Monday through Friday from June 22, 2020 to August 21, 2020)
- Available for 1 training day in June (after the school year has ended)

Please note: there are a limited number of CIT spots avaliable each season. Qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview. Not all applicants will be called in for an interview.

All applications for the Counselor-in-Training program must be submitted by May 1, 2020.

Please submit the application below and a resume to the Education Department via email at or via fax at 413-733-2330. Qualified candidates will be contacted to set-up an interview with a member of the Zoo Camp staff prior to the start of Zoo Camp.

Not all applicants are guaranteed an interview. Interviews will take place in early June 2020.
