The Internship Program at The Zoo in Forest Park & Education Center provides an array of opportunities for college students to acquire hands-on experience working with exotic and native animal species. Interns work closely with the animal care staff, our Education Department, adult volunteers, and Keepers-in-Training. Interns will assist in education programs and workshops in collaboration with the Education Department.

Application Process
Interested parties must submit a completed application to volunteer@forestparkzoo.com.
An interview is required before acceptance into the program. Our Intern Coordinator will reach out via email or phone to schedule an interview with you prior to your intended semester of participaton. * All interns must be at least 18 years old at the start of the internship program. Interns are required to pay a $25 fee on their first day to cover the cost of a t-shirt, parking pass and training materials.

Adults: $12.00
Seniors (Age 62+): $8.00
Children (Ages 1 to 12): $6.00
