Range
California kingsnakes live in a wide variety of habitats throughout the western coast of North America.
Diet
Kingsnakes eat rodents, birds, amphibians, adn sometimes other snakes.
Social Structure
They are one of the few species of snakes who will hunt and eat other snakes, including venomous rattlesnakes, as they are resistant to the venom.

Threats in the Wild
There are currently no major threats to the California kingsnake; however, continued urbanization and agricultural development may pose a threat to the species in the future.
