*Please note that The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center is an independent non-profit located inside of a city-run park. The City of Springfield charges a daily parking fee of $3 per in-state and $5 per out-of-state passenger car. All buses and larger vehicles are charged $15 per vehicle. Please note that these prices are subject to change as The City of Springfield decides the parking admission prices.
FOREST PARK ENTRANCE CLOSED
Beginning Monday, April 29, the City of Springfield is closing the Sumner Avenue entrance to Forest Park to repair a collapsed culvert at Swan Pond. To reach The Zoo, guests will need to use a new entrance that has been created on Trafton Road (near the Cyr Arena) or the entrance on Route 5 (alongside the Picknelly Baseball Fields on the Longmeadow side). The city expects the project to continue through the summer, with a Nov. 1 completion date.
