On September 14, employees from Baystate Health, Health New England and the Men’s Wearhouse of 
Day of Caring is an annual event focused on helping non-profits in the Pioneer Valley through service based projects.
This year's volunteers worked on beautification projects of The Zoo grounds, helped paint offices and the Discovery Room used for educational programs throughout the year and even helped start putting the finishing touches on Luke Dukettes Eagle Scout project.
“We were so lucky to have such a great turnout for the Day of Caring this year,” said Alyssa Salerno, Guest Relations and Community Engagement Manager at The Zoo. “Community integration is something we strive for here at The Zoo,” said Salerno. “We are able to do what we do because of so many peoples support and we cannot thank them enough for that.”
