Gandalf, our Gray Fox, came to our Zoo this winter from a rehabilitation center in Jupiter, Fla. He had been living as someone's pet before being confiscated by authorities. Having never lived in the wild, Gandalf was deemed non-releasable and the search began to find him a permanent home. We jumped at the chance to welcome him to our Zoo family. Gray Foxes are native to our region; however, they are elusive in the wild, meaning their red cousins are a far more common sight. But our Gray Fox is incredibly friendly and playful. He loves interacting with guests, showing off his toys, and playing hide and seek!

On May 11th we held an exhibit unveiling to officially welcome Gandalf to our zoo family.
